Review Shigakogen Mountain Resort: Freestyle Skiing

Considering that Shiga Kogen consists of 19 different interlinked resorts, it may come as a little bit of a surprise that there is only one single freestyle park serving the entire ski area. The park is in Yakebitaiyama and is half way down the mountain from the top station of the Yakebitaiyama 1st or 2nd Gondola Lift. Luckily, the park is beautifully shaped and has a great design. It offers a vast array of features, including two enjoyable kicker lines, a quarter pipe, lots of rails and boxes further down, and a dedicated chair lift serving the run. We rate this park highly, so we are more than happy to award Shiga Kogen 7 points in this category.
