Ski Egypt Cairo

Ski Egypt is located approximately 30km/19mi from the capital Cairo. The skiing hall at Mall of Egypt is the first indoor ski area in Africa, and the only one in Egypt. To keep the 7,000 tons of snow from melting, the hall is cooled down to -2°C.

Around 210m/689ft of slope divide into five runs of different difficulty levels. Most suitable for beginners is the slope next to the magic carpet, while intermediate skiers use the button lift to get to the slightly more challenging run. Two cafés take care of your culinary needs.

Besides the ski runs, visitors find a large snow park that features snow tubing, a bobsleigh run, and a snow rocket trail. The Zorb Ball run, where you roll down the slope inside a large plastic ball, is also a blast. The younger guests can explore the playground, a climbing wall, and the Polar Express train.

The feathered inhabitants of the skiing hall are particularly popular. Four times a day, the 10 penguins embark on their march. If you want to find out more about them, you can book a Penguin Encounter.

Discovery, group, and private courses are available for skiers as well as snowboarders. The necessary equipment, including ski jackets and trousers, is available for rent on-site.
