Nursery slopes in Oberau, at Roggenboden, Koglmoos and Reitherkogel make for great fun on the slopes for ski novices whose focus lies on improving their skills. Experts will find steep slopes around Horn Chairlift and will be offered endless opportunities for neat carving sessions.
Due to its altitude, the ski area is not exactly a great powder destination, which is why the season lasts only from mid-November to the beginning of April and is thus comparatively short. For experienced skiers, the slopes at Schatzberg and Inneralpbach are easily doable in (less than) a day. Slopes in Oberau and Niederau are easily accessible by ski bus, which is free. However, the bus ride takes some time, wherefore it is higly recommended to stay in area.
