    Skiing in Comfort

Quality over Quantity – this is what skiing at Ski Juwel Alpbachtal Wildschoenau is like. Quaint and rustic mountain huts and great views of the Inn Valley as well as the Zillertal and Kitzbuehel Alps are just some reasons why Ski Juwel is popular among fans of skiing; plus, the ski resort is a great alternative to the Alp's overcrowded ski areas. With access to 109km of pistes, Ski Juwel ranks among the 10 largest ski resorts in Tyrol.

Ski Juwel offers great value for money, which makes it one of the best budget ski resorts. Due to the fact that nightlife here is rather quiet and that the ski resort provides excellent childcare facilities and service, families feel right at home at Ski Juwel. Nursery slopes in Oberau, at Roggenboden, Koglmoos and Reitherkogel make for great fun on the slopes for ski novices whose focus lies on improving their skills. Experts will find steep slopes around Horn Chairlift and will be offered endless opportunities for neat carving sessions.

Due to its altitude, the ski area is not exactly a great powder destination, which is why the season lasts only from mid-November to the beginning of April and is thus comparatively short. For experienced skiers, the slopes at Schatzberg and Inneralpbach are easily doable in (less than) a day. Slopes in Oberau and Niederau are easily accessible by ski bus, which is free. However, the bus ride takes some time, wherefore it is higly recommended to stay in area.

    Lift facilities are outdated!
Lifts are outdated and the slopes are poorly prepared. There are clearly better ski resorts in Tyrol!

    Great
Despite Corona open until Easter, cross-country ski trails groomed, toboggan run as long as snow was in operation, even if they were only allowed to be used by locals, 5+ stars are not enough.

Great because very diversified ski area
I think the ski resort is really great. Especially the pistes and deep snow slopes on the Wiedersberger horn I liked very much. Fantastic view. Little and no excessive après-ski, you can still enjoy your wheat in peace. Price/performance in my eyes top.

    Wildschönau-Exciting relaxing!
The ski resort "Wildschönau" in Tirol holds what its slogan promises. Of course you can't expect a huge area, but on over 65 kilometres of pistes you can still let off steam and so many exciting d... Read complete review
