The Ski Resort
The ski lift Hrast in Freistritz an der Gail is a clear practice slope for beginners and families. The 500 metre long drag lift takes you to the starting point of the blue descent. Snow cannons ensure optimal conditions on the slopes and thanks to the modern floodlight system, night skiing is possible here every Friday from 7 pm to 10 pm. During the Christmas holidays and the Carinthian semester holidays there is also floodlighting on Tuesday.
If you are looking for more demanding downhill runs and more kilometres of pistes, you will find the skiing area Dreiländereck Arnoldstein just 15 kilometres away. Like the Hrast ski lift, this belongs to the Dreiländereck mountain railways.
