The Ski Resort
The small winter sports area Stokinger south of Freudenstadt consists of two lifts. In addition to the drag lift, which takes skiers to the start of the piste at 800 m, there is also a shorter children's lift, where children can practice their first turns. The descent is about one kilometre long and leads comfortably over the Wald-S into the valley. More experienced drivers will also find a short steep slope here. If there is enough snow, a fun park with various obstacles such as boxes, snow tubes and downrail is also available.
The lifts are in operation Monday to Friday from 4 p.m. and on weekends as well as during school holidays from 10 a.m. Thanks to the floodlights it is possible to run until 9 p.m.
Interesting facts
- Snow coverage is usually best during December, offering an average snow depth of 29 cm at summit elevation and 3 cm at the base.
On Mountain Dining
The piste bar is available at the valley station for a refreshment stop. Besides tables and benches you can also relax in the deck chairs and enjoy the sun. The Lauterbad mountain hut with its large panoramic terrace is also located directly on the piste.
