The Ski Resort
Perfectly suitable for beginners and kids, Snow World Xueshijie near Bejing features 2km/1.2mi of slope, three t-bars, and a magic carpet. If you feel rather secure on your boards, you can try the black-marked mogul run. Snowboarders have their own seperate track.
Depending on snow conditions, Snow World Xueshijie is open from December to February. Floodlights allow for nightskiing, too.

Activities
All those who don't enjoy skiing or snowboarding can find alternative attractions at Snow World Xueshijie. Children enjoy a large snow playground, build snowmen, or slide down the slope on rubber tyres. Furthermore, you can marvel at ice and snow sculptures or ride through the wintery landscape on a horse- or dog-drawn sleigh.
The famous Ming tombs are only a 35 minutes' walk from the ski resort. This is where 13 of 16 emperors of the Chinese Ming dynasty were buried.

The ski resort is located around 40km/25mi north of Bejing city centre, and is comfortably accessible by shuttle bus. Alternatively, you can take the public bus no. 345 from Deshengmen city gate to China University of Political Science. Continue on bus 53 from Sunshine Plaza to Xianguo Leyuan bus stop at Snow World Xueshijie.
If you're travelling by car, follow Badaling Expressway, and leave the road at exit 32. Continue on National Highway 110 until the Ming tonbs, then follow the signs pointing to the ski resort.
