      Powder and terrain parks!

As aforementioned in the expert category, the Backcountry terrain will certainly enthuse any boarder. Those however who rather spend their day flying through the air than riding powder might be a little disappointed as not all ability levels are catered to by the terrain parks. At the “Mid-Gad-Lift” the beginner terrain park is located, for all those that are rather new to the air&style department. If you think the beginner terrain park lacks challenge you can transfer to the intermediate – and expert terrain park at the “Baby Thunder” lift. The park is composed of three smaller terrain parks which are separated into “jumps”, “rails” and “halfpipe”. The jumps (total of 5) are quite large and therefore recommendable only for skilled boarders. The last jump is suitable for non experts also. Most rails in the park were unfortunately closed at the time of testing. Some have large gaps and are therefore difficult to slide. The half-pipe was missing during the entire last winters`s season. Those that attach importance to the existence of a half-pipe should check the internet-page before travelling to Snowbird. Sole small downer is the large gap between the two terrain parks level of difficulty. Althogether Snowbird obtained excellent 4 stars in the snowboarder category.
