The Ski Resort
SnowPlanet Amsterdam is located in the Dutch province of North Holland, just south of Amsterdam in Velsen-Zuid. Skiers and snowboarders can explore 300 metre of indoor ski slope served by two surface lifts, while beginners are also treated to a small designated area of their own served by a magic carpet lift.
The latter also boasts its own ski school, where kids and beginners can learn the ropes from qualified professionals.
Freestyle fans are treated to an interesting park setup in the months from April to September.
On Mountain Dining
The in-house restaurant Schneeblick is the place to go for lunch, as it offers excellent views of the slopes to accompany your food and drink. On Fridays and Sundays, the restaurant runs a special promotion from 5 PM with unlimited soups, grill specialities, cheese fondue and delicious desserts.
If you’re after an authentic après-ski atmosphere, head for Rudi’s Bierstubbe where the party goes on until the early hours.
Activities
Visitors of all ages also enjoy sledding on the slopes here.
Après-Ski and Nightlife
The indoor ski centre is only a few kilometres outside of Amsterdam. The Dutch metropolis offers numerous cultural attractions as well as great restaurants and a vibrant nightlife.
