Charming Solitude!
Many American ski resorts try to create villages with European flair. Mostly unsuccessfully. But Solitude is a true exception. The many lovingly decorated and rustic building do bear great resemblance to a romantic Austrian or Swiss mountain village. For the lunch break we recommend the “Moonbeam Lodge” at the lift of the same name or the Sunshine Grill which as the name indicates is located at the sunniest spot in the resort and offers barbecue specialties. After lifts close Solitude calms down. Those who stay over night and don’t return to Salt Lake City we recommend the “Club Solitude” where you can watch the newes movies and recover from skiing in the hot tubs.
