The Ski Resort
Starý Smokovec belongs to the Vysoké Tatry ski region, as do the neighbouring ski resorts of Tatranská Lomnica and Štrbské Pleso. The small ski resort comprises just under 4 kilometres of slopes, all of which belong to the blue category. This makes Starý Smokovec primarily interesting for beginners and families. The longest run with a length of 2,350 metres is located next to the funicular. At the two ski lifts there are two shorter slopes with a length of 75 and 950 metres, which are suitable for the first turns

Activities
A highlight for families is the 2.5-kilometre-long toboggan run at the funicular railway. This is also illuminated for night tobogganing. Starý Smokovec is also a popular starting point for winter hikes.

Getting here
Stary Smokovec is located in the north of Slovakia, near the Polish border between Zakopane and Poprad. From Poprad it is about 15 kilometers to the ski resort. There is a parking lot at the valley station. The place is also accessible by train.
