Steamboat - Wild Wild West!
To be honest: Steamboat can’t really keep the promise “skiing in wild west atmosphere”. Steamboat Springs and the resort itself are quite modern and only the center of Steamboat Springs reminds of an old western city. Still Steamboat should be on top of a Colorado “To do” list (or rather “To Ski” list ). The ski resort is especially attractive for the best among skiers and riders who want to experience the worlds`best powder. Expert skiers and boarders can indulge in exploring snow-covered forests and riding through waist-high powder. There is a good reason for Steamboat being world-famous in the tree-skiing department. But not only the very skilled winter-sports enthusiasts are excellently catered to in Steamboat. There is a beautiful practicing area in the valley and excellent day- (and even evening-)care programmes for kids offered by the local ski school. Steamboat caters to pretty much all ability levels and truly leaves nothing to be desired for expert skiers and riders.
