The Ski Resort
Yabuli is China's oldest ski resort, located 25km/15.5mi north-east of the city of Yabul in the province Heilongjiang. It is situated inside Yabuli national park, at 457m/1,499ft to 1,375/4,508ft above sea level, and is part of the Changbai mountain range.
Yabuli consists of two different sections. On Yabuli Sun Mountain, beginners find everything they need, while more advanced skiers prefer Yabuli Ski Resort.
A total of seven modern lifts and 35km/12.7mi of slopes are at your disposal. Snow cannons make for perfect conditions all through the season from mid-November to late March. Austrian-trained ski teachers help with your first turns on skis, and provide useful tips. Accommodation is available at the base area.
Yabuli has hosted the National Winter Games, the Asian Winter Games, the Winter Universiade, and the FIS Alpine Ski Junior World Cup before. Part of the resort is used for training by the Chinese national ski team.

Activities
Yabuli has a lot in store off-piste as well. Whether you prefer ice skating, tobogganing, or grass skiing in the summer - a varied set of activities is available all through the year. Don't miss out on the Ice and Snow Festival, held from late December to late February in Harbin, 198km/123mi away. It features some of the largest ice sculptures in the world as well as buildings made of snow.

By car:
From Harbin, follow expressway G10. You reach the ski resort after approximately 3.5 hours.
Public transportation:
The closest airport is located in Harbin. From there, trains take a good three hours to Yabul, where you continue to the ski resort by mini bus or taxi. Alternatively, you can get a night train from Bejing to Yabul.
