The Ski Resort
Sunlight Mountain is basically one big winter playground. It is very family oriented and therefore aims at keeping prices affordable. It is located in the White River National Forest. From Sunlight´s summit on Compass Mountain you can overlook Mount Spris and the Elk Mountain Range. Sunlight Mountain offers 67 trails for all ability levels covering 190 hectares of terrain. Gain some confidence on Sunlight´s beginner trails, cruise gentle intermediate runs or explore some of the steepest runs in the state! All trails converge at the base lodge so you won´t lose track of each other. Beginners can take some lessons at the Sunlight Ski School. Experienced instructors will do their best to build your confidence as a skier or snowboarder. The Learn to Shine Program is especially recommendable. It includes 3 days of lift tickets, rentals and 2-hour lessons. Learning for 3 days you will enjoy this sport even more and most likely keep skiing and riding for years to come. In addition, Sunlight Mountain offers 29 km of groomed cross country tracks. There are tracks for all ability levels winding through Babbish Gulch Valley.
