The Ski Resort
Thaiwoo ski resort is located in the province of Hebei in the north east of china, right by the Great Wall. Opened only in 2015, the resort features latest lift facilities.
Around 6 ha big, the beginners' area is located near the ski village. Magic carpets and easy slopes to practice can be found here. Furthermore, you can slide down the snowtubing slopes on rubber tyres here. Once you feel safe enough on your skis, a shuttle takes you to the base station of the quad chair Galaxy Express. The green runs Para Para and Cha Cha are perfect for everyone who is still quite new to skiing.
More advanced skiers have a lot to explore on the 2,160m/7,087ft high Mount Jade, Yu Shi Liang in Chinese. At the BMX Drive near the run Disco, you can compete with other winter sportsmen and measure your speed. Dance back into the vally on the black runs Samba, Mambo, Lambada, Modern Dancing, and Rhumba. The blue runs Jittebug, Freestyle, Can Can, and Polka also promise fun in the snow. You can get to the start of these runs from the top station of Time Wrap Express gondola, or from the top station of chair lift Light Speed Express.
Right next to the beginners' area, freestylers find a 7 ha terrain park with various obstacles, jumps and waves.

On Mountain Dining
There are various different restaurants at Thaiwoo ski resort. You can even find Austrian fare, at the restaurant Alpine Lodge near Time Wrap Express gondola. If you'd rather try the local food, hit up Huicui at the base area. Restaurant Peak-View features South-East Asian, Chinese, and European fare, catering to any taste.
Fresh sushi or Korean barbecue specialities can be found at the village. Peak Restaurant definitely boasts the best view, and is located right next to the gondola.
Must-Ski Runs
The longest ski run is Salsa. Grab Light Speed Express chair or Time Wrap Express gondola to get to its starting point.

Après-Ski and Nightlife
You can taste some locally-brewed beer at Thaiwoo après-ski bar. It is open from 8 am to 9 pm and serves Italian, German and American snacks along with the drinks.

Getting here
You can get to Thaiwoo ski resort via G6 in about three hours. Car parks are available on-site. A fast train connection is in construction.
