The Ski Resort
Tufandag ski resort is located near Qabala, one of the oldest cities in Azerbaijan. The resort consists of various hotels, a spa as well as several leisure centres. It is beautifully located amidst the Caucasian mountain-scape. With a total of 17km/10.6mi of slopes, there are runs for every skill level.
Gondola L2 gets you to the actual ski area. Beginners can find three blue-marked runs here. More advanced skiers look forward to three reds and four blues. The red valley run is particularly fun. Very modern lift facilities ensure rapid advancement inside the ski area.
Azerbaijan is still a hidden gem for skiers. You can thus enjoy the slopes almost all to yourself. The wild charm of the Caucasian Mountains also adds to your holiday pleasure.

- Average snow depth during the season is 20 cm at summit elevation and 5 cm at base elevation. Snow coverage is usually best during January, offering an average snow depth of 20 cm at summit elevation and 5 cm at the base.
On Mountain Dining
There are several restaurants in the ski resorts, which are located at the top stations of the gondolas. Gain new energy and enjoy the view of the breathtaking mountain-scape. The restaurants are traditionally yet modernly furnished, and offer everything, from a light snack to hearty meals and coffee.

Activities
The ski resort is located only 4km/2.5mi from the historic city of Qabala. Its history goes back to the 4th century BC. This is the perfect place to immerse into Azerbaijan's culture. Several museums show escavation finds from former times. Radishbek memorial, which is shaped like a book, is also famous. Another option is to visit Udin Temple a bit out of town. The Udins are a small ethnic group, counting around 10,000 people nowadays, who were able to preserve their own culture and language to this day.
