The Ski Resort
The ski centre at Steckenberg in Unterammergau has been the top address for families with small children for years. With seven lifts and about eight kilometres of downhill runs, of which about 50 % can be covered with artificial snow, the ski centre Unterammergau offers the right slope for everyone. Whether beginner, the sporty ambitious skier or the leisurely pleasure skier, here everyone gets his money's worth.
Beginners and children feel at home on the practice area at the two platter lifts and at the rope lifts. Those who are already a little safer on the slopes use the red marked slopes at the Steckenberglift I and the Schartenlift. Next to the Steckenberg I downhill run there is also a race track. You can reach the black-marked runs by the Steckenberglift II.
