The Ski Resort
The Valgrisenche ski area lies in the side valley between the Rutor Range, the Grande Sassière, and the Grande Rousse, and is known as the snowiest valley in the region. As part of the Gran Paradiso Mountain Community, it attracts winter sports enthusiasts looking for peaceful, untouched nature and an authentic mountain atmosphere away from the crowds. Surrounded by spectacular glaciers, dense forests, and expansive landscapes, Valgrisenche is an ideal destination for nature lovers and outdoor enthusiasts.
The stable, low temperatures during the winter and spring months ensure long-lasting, powdery snow, providing optimal conditions for various winter sports. The strategically located chairlift near the village center takes visitors to an altitude of almost 2,000 meters.
This is where the varied network of slopes begins, featuring a blue slope with a conveyor belt, a red slope, and two challenging black slopes designed specifically for experienced skiers and training sessions. Due to their location and snow conditions, the black slopes provide excellent training grounds for sports clubs, teams, and national squads that can book exclusive training lines in Valgrisenche.
The ski area is particularly family-friendly and offers two learning conveyor belts that make it easier for children and beginners to get started with skiing and achieve quick learning progress. A highlight of the area is the Fun Park at the base station, where kids can enjoy inflatable slides, bobsleighs, sleds, and rafts for snow-filled fun—perfect for a break away from the slopes.
