The Ski Resort
A total of 3 runs with a length of 4.5 kilometers are available to winter sports enthusiasts at mount Voithenberg near Furth im Wald. The natural snow pistes are prepared by machines and always offer good conditions in winter with sufficient snow. In 2017 the ski lift was modernized. Instead of an old diesel engine, a powerful and low-emission electric motor now drives the large T-bar lift.
There is both a practice slope for children and a steep slope for professionals. The family run and the forest run are also highly recommended, which can be classified between easy and medium difficulty. There is also a ski jump. A T-bar lift and a practice lift take skiers and snowboarders back up the mountain afterwards.
The Voithenberg ski area also offers a lift room with snow bar, ski courses and a toboggan run.
