The Ski Resort
Sporty skiing pleasure and a fantastic view attract mainly insiders to the Wendelstein in winter. Nature lovers meet here as well as individualists who do not want the hustle and bustle of the big ski resorts.
The ski area Wendelstein belongs to the Sudelfeld area and is one of the largest connected ski areas in Upper Bavaria. The long and steep downhill runs of the northern and eastern slopes are especially suitable for the very good skiers.
The Wendelstein is traditionally THE ski mountain in the region. Already since 1912 the rack railway has been bringing skiers up the 1838 m high mountain. Then, as now, winter sports enthusiasts can enjoy challenging downhill runs, a fantastic landscape and a fantastic view: the clear mountain air often provides a view of up to 150 km and more even in winter.
