The Ski Resort
The family-friendly ski area on the south side of the Zugspitze starts right in the Tyrolean Zugspitz village of Ehrwald. Due to the unique southwest location guests will find sun-drenched slopes and sun terraces.
It is within walking distance and in the immediate vicinity are numerous hotels, guesthouses and holiday homes. The Ehrwalder Wettersteinbahnen offer winter sports guests 23 km of skiing and snowboarding pleasure.
You have the choice between two different entry options to the ski area. One of them is located directly in the center of Ehrwald, from where the modern childsafe 6-seater chairlift leads to the ski area. Another possibility is the direct access via the Wettersteinbahn, here you have the opportunity to make tracks on challenging slopes in the snow. At the Wettersteinbahnen, especially families with aspiring skiers and snowboarders will be welcomed with open arms. But also for the rest of the clientele of winter sports enthusiasts there is a lot to discover on and around the Ehrwalder Wettersteinlifte. So there is the only half pipe in the Tyrolean Zugspitzarena, which should be a highlight for freestyle boarders and skiers and at the Gamsalm a snowboard fun park.
