The 2010/2011 season welcomed even more of that powder we love with the new Glory Ridge chair accessing the area known as the backside offering an additional 749 acres and 2044' vertical of new terrain!
Cradled in the heart of British Columbia’s legendary Selkirk Mountains and renowned for epic winters, Whitewater BC Ski Resort hosts a dependable dry snowfall that often totals more than 12 metres a season, that’s more than 40 feet! Far from the maddening crowds of the mega resorts, Whitewater owes its well-deserved laid back reputation to short lift lines, reasonable prices and big hospitality. When it comes to skiing and riding, Whitewater Ski Resort serves up an endless feast of terrain. Explore our stunning array of steeps, deeps, chutes, bowls, glades, groomed cruisers and gentle rollers. Combined with all the natural launches, drops, and hits you can shake your sticks at, Whitewater is the ultimate natural winter playground. In the unlikely event you get tired of rocking all the natural features you can always test your mettle on the metal in the Whitewater Rail Park.
A rustic and cozy full service daylodge offers everything you could want to complement your day on the mountain. You can gear up with our full line up of Rossignol, Dynastar and Armada equipment rentals at our Rental and Repair shop, spot what you forgot (from mittens to ibuprofen) at the Whitewater Store, and drop the kids off with our Snow School for just an hour or up to a full day of lessons in our Adventure Centre’s Whitewater Ski and Board Club.
Groomed nordic trails for both skate and classic skiing are also available at the Whitewater Nordic Centre. Winding from the Daylodge, 13 trails – groomed and track set – serve up stellar skiing loops suitable for all levels. Due to its location, the high elevation terrain provides reliable snow to cross country skiers.

Located on the second floor, the Fresh Tracks Café cooks up a fantastic assortment of high quality food prepared fresh right in front of you. Our Head Chef Jeff Bruce is guaranteed to impress you with his daily specials. With a well priced, eclectic, healthy, and phenomenally tasty menu, the Fresh Tracks Café is consistently honoured as the finest ski resort food in Canada!
For those that don't want to leave the steeps and deeps of the Glory Ridge chair, Whitewater Ski Resorts Fresh Tracks Cafe Express is parked in its home at the base of the chair during the winter months. Opening daily at 8:30am, leaving you time to fuel up for first chair with a cup of locally roasted Oso Negro espresso, breakfast specials and daily fresh baked muffins. After you've shredded up your first lines of the day, and built up a Ymir sized appetite, the truck will be cooking up daily Pow Chow lunch specials as well as all the Fresh Tracks favourites you know and love. Haven’t had enough? Take some of our famous recipes home by picking up a copy of the Whitewater Cooks, Whitewater Cooks at Home or the latestWhitewater Cooks with Friends cookbook, written by Nelson's own Shelley Adams! During spring, summer and fall, our famous Pow Chow is served out of the truck's summer home at 602 Lake Street in Nelson, otherwise known as our downtown headquarters.
Locally brewed organic beer from Nelson Brewing Company (NBC) and après ski snacks served in Coal Oil Johnny’s Pub make the perfect excuse to kick back and unbuckle the boots at the end of a powder-perfect day.

If alpine skiing or snowboarding isn't your thing, Whitewater also hosts a bunch of other fun winter activities on our multi-use trails, such as, cross-country skiing, snow shoeing and snow biking.
