The Ski Resort
Zacler ski area is located in the eastern part of the Giant Mountains close to the city of Trutnov. It is easily accesible not only by car but also by bus and train. Most of the trails are easiest ones. However, there is also an intermediate trail and a most difficult trail available. Thus, everyone from beginner to advanced skier or rider can have fun here although obviously beginner have the greatest choice here! As the ski area owns a snow making machine you never have to worry about snow conditions. In addition, there is ski rental available as well as a ski school where beginners are introduced to the fun of skiing. Yet, Zacler also has a lot to offer aside of the trails. For instance, you can take a sleigh ride or relax in the sauna. Moreover, there are many restaurants and pubs inviting for a happy gathering.
Interesting facts
- The vertical drop from summit to base is 280 m. The average difference in altitude between base and summit of Ski Resorts in the Czech Republic is 252 m. The highest point of the track is 850 m above sea level.
- Snow coverage is usually best during February, offering an average base depth of 36 cm.
