Product Summary
The ski in details
For the ambitious GS teenage athlete going for gold
The Racetiger GS R is the perfect ski for ambitious U14/U16 athletes and features technologies that are also used in the World Cup. The Tailored Carbon Tip enables a very precise, direct and reliable tip response, which helps the athlete to ski a shorter and tighter radius to the gate. To achieve this, carbon fibers are stitched onto a carrier material, enabling precise torsional control. The two-layer Titanal, the beech and poplar wood core and the ABS sidewalls give the ski the necessary stability and dynamics so that every athlete can push their limits.
Technologies
Multilayer Woodcore 1
The side wall is laminated to extremely stable layers of wood on the sides of the sandwich core.
Base P-Tex 4504
A sintered, ultra-high molecular polyethylene base with an extremely high density. Besides a great wear resistance and perfect wax absorption the P-Tex 4504 is extremely fast and exclusively used on Völkl´s top of the line and race models.
Race Finish
To meet the specific demands of racing in terms of edge grip and precision, Völkl has equipped our race ski models with a special race finish. The SL models feature a 0.7° base edge angle and an 87.6° side edge angle. The GS models have a 1.1° base edge angle and an 87.6° side edge angle.
Full Sidewall ABS
ABS is a durable and resilient plastic known for its strength and impact resistance. It offers high resistance to shocks and impacts, making the ski more robust and long-lasting. These sidewalls allow for precise power transfer from the skier to the edges of the ski.
Full Titanal
The titanium setup makes the ski agile and dynamic. Especially friends of a hard, fast and aggressive riding style benefit from the quick response of this construction.
Tailored Carbon Tips
In this innovative manufacturing process the new Tailored Carbon Tips are produced by embroidering the individual carbon fibers onto a carrier material. This allows them to be positioned exactly along the stress lines, opening up completely new possibilities, for performance at the front of the ski, which has a decisive influence on the handling of the ski.
Tip Rocker
Only bends upwards in the shovel area, while the middle and tail of the ski feature a camber shape.
