Product Summary
The ski in details
For the ambitious GS teenage athlete going for gold
The Racetiger GS R WC FIS is the perfect ski for the ambitious U18 athlete working towards taking part in the European Cup. It has technologies that are also used in the World Cup. The Tailored Carbon Tip offers a very precise, direct and reliable shovel response, which helps the athlete to take a shorter and narrower radius to the gate. Carbon fibers are embroidered onto a carrier material for precise torsion control. The three-layer full titanal, the World Cup ash woodcore and the phenol sidewalls give the ski the stability and dynamism it needs to push every athlete to achieve their full potential. It is delivered with the Race GS factory tuning and a pre-mounted Marker Interface WC-Plate 10mm. Völkl recommends using the Marker Comp 20 or 16 binding to go with this model.
Technologies
WorldCup Ash Woodcore
The high-quality core made of solid ash, which extends over the entire length of the ski, is a technical highlight that has great impact on the skiing characteristics.
Base P-Tex 2510
A sintered high-density and high molecular polyethylene base with great gliding characteristics and high durability
Full Sidewall Phenol
The special surface structure in combination with the material composition reduces icing because it allows the snow to simply slide off. This leads to a drastic reduction in weight during use up to 20 - 30%. Thanks to the lighter skis, long and steep assents can be better managed.
Full Titanal
The titanium setup makes the ski agile and dynamic. Especially friends of a hard, fast and aggressive riding style benefit from the quick response of this construction.
Marker WorldCup Plate
High-speed racing like the pros. Thanks to Piston Control, an integrated hydraulic oil piston, even the smallest bit of energy is converted into speed. Of course the interface is compatible with the Race X-cell bindings.
Tailored Carbon Tips
In this innovative manufacturing process the new Tailored Carbon Tips are produced by embroidering the individual carbon fibers onto a carrier material. This allows them to be positioned exactly along the stress lines, opening up completely new possibilities, for performance at the front of the ski, which has a decisive influence on the handling of the ski.
Race Finish
To meet the specific demands of racing in terms of edge grip and precision, Völkl has equipped our race ski models with a special race finish. The SL models feature a 0.7° base edge angle and an 87.6° side edge angle. The GS models have a 1.1° base edge angle and an 87.6° side edge angle.
Tip Rocker
Only bends upwards in the shovel area, while the middle and tail of the ski feature a camber shape.
