Culinary ski day in Engadin St. Moritz

What is at least as important as good weather and perfectly groomed slopes when skiing? The rustic mountain restaurants and ski huts, of course, which invite you to linger with their culinary delights and spacious sun terraces. Here you can enjoy the view of the mountain panorama, the glorious sunshine and delicious refreshments for your next skiing adventure in the Engadin.

If you are the first to take the gondola up to the Lagalb mountain station early in the morning, you can enjoy the fresh, clear mountain air and the as yet untouched slopes in the Engadin undisturbed.

Another advantage: the chairs on the terrace of the Lagalb mountain restaurant are still free to choose from. The first warming rays of sunshine are already reaching you from high above the Scima da Saoseo, so you can enjoy a coffee or tea, a small breakfast and the panorama of Piz Palü, Piz Bernia and Piz Morteratsch spreading out before you.

The Corvatsch mountain station is located at 3303 meters above sea level. From up there, you can admire the breathtaking panorama of the Bernina massif before hurtling down the mountainside on your skis.

The Alpetta mountain restaurant, where you can enjoy perfectly grilled specialties, is the ideal culinary stopover. The finest meat such as pork baby back ribs, tasty burgers or venison luganighetta are served straight from the smoker or grill onto your plate. After a short break on the sun terrace, it's time to hit the slopes again.

As the exciting day on the slopes draws to a close and the sun slowly sinks into the west, it's time to stop off at the Alpina hut on the Corviglia.

The cozy mountain restaurant on St. Moritz's local mountain combines rustic charm with modern ideas. Here you can enjoy hearty delicacies such as pork knuckle with polenta, as well as simple hot dogs or fondue dogs. What's more, there's no better place to enjoy a delicious cocktail than in front of the spectacular panorama as the last gentle rays of the sun shine down.
