Val Gardena is one of the top ski areas in the world. With an entrance to the famous Sellaronda, over 100 kilometers of red marked slopes and a touch of Dolce Vita, the South Tyrolean ski area is an absolute highlight for sporty skiers and connoisseurs. Val Gardena is investing in the renewal of its ski lifts and the improvement of its snow-making facilities in order to ensure that it continues to offer the highest level of fun on the slopes. Also on the neighbouring Alpe de Siusi, with whom Val Gardena shares the ski pass, winter sportsmen expect a new lift in the upcoming season.
New chairlift on Alpe de Suisi
As of the new winter season 2019/20, there will be a new 6-seater chairlift on Europe's largest high alp, Alpe de Suisi/Seiser Alm. Equipped with bubbles and a fully automatic child safety lock, the new lift replaces the previous Bamby 4-seater chair lift. Like the old installation from 1997, the new chairlift of the same name connects the Paradiso slope with the Panorama slope. With an increased capacity of 3000 people per hour, it ensures faster, more comfortable and safer transport than the previous model.

Innovations in Val Gardena
Not all new, but completely modernized is the 6-seater chairlift Comici 1 in Plan de Gralba. For its restyling, the lift between Piz Sella and Piz Seteur will receive completely new chairs with seat heating and weather protection bubbles. Both the top and base stations will also be renewed and given a modern look.
At the same time Val Gardena continues to invest in snowmaking on the slopes. For example, the existing Col Raiser facilities will be expanded. On the Ciampinoi ski runs 3, 4 and 5 new snowmaking systems are in the making.
