The biggest point of criticism is the ski resort's lack of modernity. Unfortunately, the lifts are not comparable to lifts in European ski resorts. None of the two chairlifts are heated or detachable; instead, they lack passenger safety, especially when it comes to the safety of smaller kids.
Apart from that, there's nothing else to complain about. Directly at the entrance, there is a large ski rental area, a sports shop, and sanitary facilities. Plus, WiFi internet access is available everywhere (Yes, everywhere, thanks to the ski resort's size!).
Moreover, signposting and grooming are outstanding, which is probably because there are not too much runs to take care of. This being said, importance is attached to daily and high-quality slope preparation. What's more is that Winsport does not rely on Mother Nature to cover its skiable terrain; most of the snow on its hill is artificial, in order to extend the ski season.
Verdict is in: The outdated, uncomfortable chairlifts are kind of annoying – except for the magic carpets in the beginners area which we loved. It is unfortunate, but this deficit is therefore disturbing the overall impression in the category “Service“.
