Galtür offers 43 kilometres of pistes, most of them are classified as medium difficulty. But a look at the piste plan is a little deceptive. Hardly any of the red runs are really challenging and with a little practice even beginners and less experienced skiers can explore almost the entire ski area. For your first attempts at sliding, we recommend the ski school area in Sector 01 "Zwergerlwelt". It is located together with "Siggi's Bambiniland" at the valley station of the Alpkogelbahn. The carpet lifts there provide the easiest way to start skiing. With the blue run 3, Galtür offers only one run classified as "blue". However, as already mentioned, the numerous red runs are no problem for beginners. Also recommendable is run no. 8 at the two Kopssee lifts. In summary, it can be said that Galtür is a good beginners' ski area. However, Galtür cannot quite reach the highest rating with just one blue run.
