For beginners, the Hochficht ski area in the beautiful Bohemian Forest is simply ideal. There are blue-marked slopes on all three mountains, a total of about 9 kilometers. However, we recommend beginners to start at the ski arena, i.e. at the Reischlberg. Right next to the valley station of the Reischlberg gondola is Fichtl's Kids Park, a flat practice slope with a magic carpet.
Perfect for practicing is the short Rehberg run (No. 6) at the two Rehberg T-bar lifts. Right next to it is also the Raischa Junior Park with magic carpet. You can reach both by getting off at the middle station of the gondola lift.
The next step are the longer, blue runs Hochwaldabfahrt (No. 3) at Reischlberg and Stierwiesenabfahrt (No. 1) at Hochficht.
Those who are already a bit more confident on their skis can also venture onto the red runs. Since these do not have extremely steep sections and are quite wide, there is enough room for slow turns.
The blue slope No. 9 at the entry in Schwarzenberg is also suitable for beginners. To get from Zwieselberg to the other two mountains, however, you have to descend on a red slope (No. 7 or 8). For beginners, we recommend here the less steep family variant (No. 8) of the Zwieselberg descent.
The ski school at Hochficht offers courses for all ages and skill levels.
