The Hochzillertal and Hochfügen areas prove to be absolute all-rounders in our test. Beginners will find the best practice slopes at the top station of the Hochzillertal gondolas, as well as directly in Hochfügen. Sporty skiers will be thrilled by the modern lifts (numerous heated 8-seater and 6-seater chairlifts) as well as the wide carving slopes at the Kristall-Express. If you are looking for a challenge, you should not miss to conquer the beautiful black "Obitraudi" or, if you are experienced enough, to explore the freeride area in Hochfügen. A total of around 90 kilometers of slopes are on offer here. In addition, from 2 days you can also use the Zillertal Superskipass, which gives you additional access to the ski areas of Mayrhofen, Zillertal Arena, Spieljochbahn and Hintertux Glacier.
The special thing about Hochzillertal-Hochfügen, however, is certainly the 5-star level dining options. Wedelhütte and Kristallhütte have long been familiar to connoisseurs of upscale cuisine. Above all, an overnight stay at 2,150m (Kristallhütte) or 2,352m (Wedelhütte), with a nightly view of the Zillertal peaks, will certainly remain in the memory of every guest for longer. With the Albergo and Mountain View, further high-class mountain restaurants have been added. But also skiers who are simply looking for a rustic, cozy ski lodge will find it here.
