Although the ski resort around the “Hochzeiger” with its 45 kilometers of slope can be counted among the smaller ones in the Austrian Alps expert riders will still find a nice selection of runs there. With the “Rotmoos”, the “Kanonenrohr” and the “Benni-Raich” run the resort offers 8 kilometers in the category black. The runs are not that demanding but nice and wide as well as always nicely groomed, even should there be less snow. Some of the category red runs will also be enjoyable to pro riders. The “Zollberg” run Nr. 6 or the extremely wide FIS run Nr. 2 for example are really nice to do some carving. For riders with high technical skills the bump run alongside the “Rotmoos” ski lift is a really nice option.
Sportive riders will find 25 kilometers of category red slopes around the 2560 meters high Hochzeiger. Advanced riders will particularly enjoy the “Zollberg” descent Nr. 6 and the FIS run Nr.2. To Carving riders we can warmly recommend the wide „Niederjöchl“ run Nr. 9 , whereas speed lovers will feel at home at the “Rotmoos” ski lift’s permanent chronometer run. For those who like doing some off-piste riding the skiing resort “Hochzeiger” has two nice and long accounted ski routes: the Panorama- and the Kalbenalmroute. Apart from that you’ll find several shorter ski routes spread throughout the resort. Particularly recommendable is the category black “Rotmoos” run Nr. 4!
