Hochzeiger – Sunshine Skiing at the Pitztal!
At the sunny mountain plateau around the “Hochzeiger” winter sports athletes are offered a manageable but versatile skiing resort with 45 kilometers of slope. Beginners, Advanced riders, as well as snowboarders have several nice options at the skiing resort. Less experienced riders can check out the 12 kilometers of category blue slopes. Advanced riders will definitely enjoy themselves on the 33 kilometers of category red and black slopes. Although maybe not the most demanding skiing area, you’re offered a wonderful alpine panorama (as for example the 2930m high “Wildgrat” or the 2560m high “Hochzeiger”), which is a delight. Snowboarders and expert skiers can also check out the ungroomed slopes and do some off-piste riding in the powder. Families with children are offered two kids parks (run by the local ski school) and thus can smoothly improve their skills. To those who plan on staying in the region for a few days we recommend the “Pitz-Regio-Card” with which you can also visit other resorts at the “Pitztal” as for example the “Pitztaler” glacier.
