The Ski Resort
Middlebury College Snow Bowl´s origin dates back to 1934 when first trails were cut. This makes it one of Vermont´s oldest ski areas. Today the ski area offers 17 trails served by 3 chair-lifts. Half of the trails are expert trails making it a perfect environment to train for the College´s athletics. However, the other half are intermediate and beginner trails. Thus, there is enough space for everyone no matter of which ability level. Middlebury also offers some gladed areas for Tree Skiing. Another characteristic are the area´s affordable prices whis is why it is quite popular amongst families. Of course, you can also get some lessons here. The Snow Snowschool offers a wide variety of programs and clinics. Student instructors from Middlebury College will introduce you to everything you need to know to become a confident skier or rider. A specialty of Middlebury College Snow Bowl is the Joe Doria Scholarship. It enables deserving kids to participate in the fun sports of skiing and snowboarding.
