Mölltal Glacier: a true mountain experience for the skilled skier!

Austria's southernmost glacier ski area offers everything from long, gorgeous red runs to wide, well groomed carving routes that make the heart of a sporty, ambitious skier beat faster. The Mölltal Glacier has a total of about 7 kilometers of red slopes, surrounded by the fantastic panorama of the Carinthian Alps. In addition, there are about 10 kilometers of black runs and ski routes.

The slopes No. 1 and No. 7 from the Schareck down to the base station of the Klühspies Panoramabahn, covering a difference in altitude of about 700 meters, deserve special mention in this category. The blue slopes No. 2 and No. 3 from Schareck invite you to extensive carving turns. However, since almost all of the Mölltal Glacier's slopes have sufficient piste width, the entire ski area represents a Mecca for carvers. The pistes at the Alteck chairlift are also mainly interesting for good to very good skiers.

With a total of just under 20 kilometers of slopes, the range of downhill skiing here is limited, but the slopes are still in top condition even in spring. This is also appreciated by professional ski teams who like to use the Mölltal Glacier for their training.

Challenging slopes, however, there are 2 places where snowboarders have to run in order to get to the lift.
