The 1-day lift passes here are relatively good value given the terrain on offer. On the downside, each sub-area has its own lift pass, with the exception of the interconnected Akakura Onsen and Akakura Kanko areas, which means that you can’t go for a multi-day pass if you are interested in exploring new terrain. The most expensive sub-area is Suginohara at ¥4,500 for a day pass (around €38), while Seki Onsen costs just ¥3,500 for a day in the deep stuff (around €30).
Kids ski for free but the shuttle bus is pricy
All skiers aged 6 and under can ski for free in all of the Myoko Kogen resorts, while children aged 12 and under are free in Suginohara when accompanied by a paying adult. It is worth bearing in mind that the shuttle bus serving the various resorts in the valley is pretty pricy at ¥500 (€4.20) a ride, and this certainly offsets some of the good value offered by lift pass prices.
