What leaps out at you the moment you start your first run at “Schladming” are the numerous colorful figures alongside the slope. Among all these cute little dwarfs, comic figures and funny animals the youngsters will certainly feel comfortable. However missing are baby/practice lifts for total newcomers to the world of snowsports! There is also only one designated children’s area throughout the whole resort, which is located at the “Larchkogel” (run # 8). With 3 easy (blue) trails and 14 intermediate runs there are enough options for families to spend some fun time together on the mountain. Some of the intermediate trails however, might be a little challenging for the younger visitors. A big plus in the category family friendliness are the reasonable prices for food and beverages at most lodges throughout the resort. This is definitely not the case in all ski resorts and makes Schladming so much more attractive for families.
