Wilder Kaiser: one of the nicest and biggest skiresorts in the alps!

There is a reason for the Wilder Kaiser receiving quite a few awards. In our test too the resort results to be one of the top resorts in Austria. We also want to emphasize once more that our test criteria does not only consider the size of the ski-resort. We especially look at the resorts variety and satisfactory blend to cater to all ability levels. Wilder Kaiser convinced us, go and see for your self. Only beginners should maybe think about taking their very first “steps on skis” in a more clearly laid out ski resort before exploring the beautiful Wilder Kaiser. Apart from that we can truly recommend the ski-world for all groups and levels of ability. Our conclusion: not only one of the largest ski resorts in Austria but also one of the nicest ones.

Skiing with a panoramic view
The slopes are very well prepared and there is a huge choice. Skiing with this panorama is simply a dream.

Tragedy in March
Large ski area, long valley runs, great for combining with Kitzski, but the snow guarantee is the clear kryptonite of this ski area

Many small descents, very crowded
We arrived in Ellmau with great expectations. Unfortunately we were a little disappointed. The slopes were very crowded and the skiers did not disperse, despite the many runs. There were also a lot... Read complete review

Here you will find everything-for beginners up to the professional.
Very mount facilities, perfect slopes, great cabins, very nice accommodations-for every budget. We were here for the first time and will be back next year, highly recommended.

Urige ski area with very good piste offer
Despite its stately size, this ski area is a refreshing alternative to mega ski resorts such as in the French Alps. It is very familiar here, both in the accommodation and on the huts. Bed castles ... Read complete review

Problems ruin the experience
In spite of a good number of lifts and pistes, they are often icy. Also, do not believe them when they write that the funparks are open, which they aren't, even during major holidaysSki map and sig... Read complete review

Cluttered and full
Mega Panorama. But very full of carnival and not clear. Stupid for beginners.

Top area, but in case of snowfall the day before is not good to ride.
A large and varied ski area that is often crowded. So it may be that you are at an important connection lift already 10-15 minutes. Still beautiful area for the whole family.
