Friday Flat is the best place to be for first-timers
Thredboland, the beginners area is situated right at the parking lot in Woodridge. With a magic carpet and the rather flat terrain there is everything there to learn the plough. It is separated from the rest of the ski resort which allows beginners to practice in peace. Once the skills are improved beginners can get onto the easy-does-it-quad for the first real slope. After some time of practice in the beginners` area the novice skiers and boarders can ski straight to the Gunbarrel Express which will take them to the easy slopes at the Cruiser Chairlift. The next step is the really long Village Trail which takes the skier or snowboarder from the very top of Thredbo to the Valley Terminal. The green slopes (easy) can be found all over the ski resort therefore beginners have access to many areas of Thredbo. Of course there also is a huge range of ski lessons offered. All in all a very good resort for first timers but beginners may have a wider range of slopes in other ski resorts.
