Vail is home to infinite powder runs and four terrain parks!
Vail is also among boarders one of the hottest riding spots worldwide. Four terrain parks (called Fly Zones) each tailored to fit a certain ability level offer the perfect surrounding for boarders of all skill levels. The largest terrain park which stretches across 1,6 km is the “Fly Zone Terrain Park” at the “Riva Bahn Express” and was made to fit only the best riders fancy. Extreme is the name of the game! The Superpipe with 140m of length and 12m of breadth outshines any Mega Pipe in Europe. The “Flight School Park” is located in proximity and is considerably smaller and fits especially those not skilled in the air & style department. Two further parks are located at the “Eagle Gondola” (“Aviator Park”) and in Mid Vail (“Sky Way Park”). Terrain park lovers will certainly have all wishes fulfilled in Vail! And if you take a look at the expert or intermediate category you will learn that the free-ride possibilities are not to be looked down upon. In the contrary, Vail features wonderfully diverse and challenging off-piste terrain which will leave any powder ace breathless! Only downer for boarders are the many flat connecting paths which force riders to strap off their equipment. Our test proves that Vail definitely deserves the Top 10 rating in the many ski magazines. We also award Vail with our highest mark of 5 stars in the boarding category!
