Freeride fans have been coming together at Europe's biggest freeride test event in Austria for ten years now. This year, in addition to the well-known locations in Hochfügen, Warth-Schröcken, Saalbach and the Stubai Glacier, there will be another destination in Silvretta Montafon! Look forward to free test equipment, joint tours, after-hours BBQs and much more.
All dates at a glance
For the anniversary year 2024, there will be five tour stops instead of four and therefore also five FreerideTestival weekends.
January 27 and 28 in Hochfügen in Zillertal
The Testival kicks off at the absolute freeride hotspot in Zillertal. Thanks to the short distances on foot and the huge offer for freeriders, Hochfügen is known and loved as an off-piste destination far beyond the borders of Tyrol.
NEW: February 17 and 18 in Silvretta Montafon
As the perfect complement to the FreerideTestival, the "Freeride Eldorado" Silvretta Montafon offers fantastic deep snow slopes, varied terrain and absolute snow reliability right into spring.
March 02 and 03 in Warth-Schröcken in Vorarlberg
As one of the most naturally snow-rich ski resorts in the Alps with mostly north-facing slopes, Warth-Schröcken on the Arlberg has the best conditions for your freeride adventure.
March 09 and 10 in Saalbach in the Skicircus
The Home of Lässig is also one of the most popular vacation destinations for freeriders in winter. The freeride Mecca in the Kitzbühel Alps offers countless routes at every level of difficulty, delighting beginners and pros alike.
March 16 and 17 on the Stubai Glacier
The crowning finale of the FreerideTestival is at the Stubai Glacier. Austria's largest glacier ski area is the perfect place for great off-piste tours thanks to its guaranteed snow, its location at up to 3,210 meters and its extensive offer for freeriders.
Experience Freeriding
Under this motto, you can test next season's freeride equipment extensively free of charge over the five weekends, learn more in various workshops, complete joint tours and safety training sessions and exchange ideas with other freeriders and industry experts at the relaxed after-hours events. Participation in the Testival is free of charge - but pre-registration on the website is highly recommended.
More than 50 renowned brands such as Scott, Sweet Protection, Alpina, Völkl and Atomic will be presenting their latest equipment. From skis and rucksacks to avalanche transceiver equipment, you'll find everything a freerider's heart desires. All you have to do is leave your ID or driving license as a deposit and you can start your adventure with the test equipment.
Side Events
In addition to the equipment tests, the FreerideTestival also features a number of side events. These are not included in the free ticket and must be booked in advance. In addition to various courses where beginners can learn the basics of freeriding, for example, there are also guided tours, technique training sessions and workshops where even real pros can learn something new.
In the Testival Lounge, you can relax in between, enjoy good music and drinks and chat with other guests, professional athletes and partners. Even when the lifts have already stopped, the cozy get-together continues after-hours in the event area.
