The specialists for the terrain
Welcome to the Big Mountain range! The skis in the "Freeride over 100 millimeters" category are ideal for pros in search of an adrenaline rush in the backcountry, but also for relaxed mountain enthusiasts who want to enjoy the untouched slopes away from the ski resorts and are looking for a ski that makes it easier to get downhill. The center widths of the tested models range from 106 to 115 millimeters. This means they offer enough buoyancy to draw the perfect line in deep powder snow.
The freeride skis were tested at the 2022/2023 WorldSkitest in a specified terrain at the Großglockner Resort Kals. The tight results, all of which turned out "excellent" or "very good," show just how high the quality of the skis is. >> This is how the WorldSkitest works
Target group: 100% off-piste skiers
Are you looking for freeride models that can also be used on-piste? Then check out the skis in the category "Freeride up to 100mm"!
Test winner: Völkl Blaze 106
The Völkl Blaze 106 climbs up one place compared to last year and thus secures the victory in the category "Freeride over 100mm". The lightweight (1,593 g at 165cm) is also ideally suited for touring with the right binding. However, the low weight obviously does not detract from the performance. In any case, the Blaze 106 convinced the testers all along the line.
