With the High Performance models, the name says it all. The sporty piste skis are made for fast-paced descents, but are more forgiving than real racing skis. Whether short or long turns, sporty skiers can experience a lot of fun with them.
At WorldSkitest, the new ski models for the 2023/2024 season were pre-tested. Find out how the high-performers from the best-known ski brands scored.
Dynamic performance for the slopes
High performance skis are the perfect mix of giant slalom and slalom skis. They have enough power and stability for high-speed descents, while not costing quite as much power as race models. No wonder, then, that they are among the most popular ski models. Still, you should have a certain level of skill and athleticism. Beginners are better off with the skis in the Allround category.
At the 2023 WorldSkitest, the high-performance models were tested in Wisła in changeable conditions ranging from icy to soft snow. Like last year, one model in particular stood out.
Target group: sporty to highly athletic piste skiers.
Test winner: Atomic Redster X9 S Revoshock
The Atomic Redster X9 S Revoshock defends its title and once again takes the victory in the men's High Performance category by a clear margin over the competition. Top marks in all areas give it an overall score of 41.7 points and the rating "excellent". Thanks to its smooth running, it shows what it can do, especially in long turns.
Same old, same old? Not quite! The Redster X9 comes in a new color in 2023. Green becomes teal and the testers like it. So Atomic additionally gets the gold medal in SnowStyle for this category.
