Verbier-Tzoumaz: 49 kilometers of red trails in a breathtaking mountain setting!
It's difficult not to be impressed by the view at Verbier over the Rhone Valley (one of the Alps' deepest) and out at the tallest peaks in the Swiss canton of Valais. Verbier then follows it up with a selection of trails that can very well hold its own against those of the best ski areas in the world. The reds on the 2727m-high Attelas are just right for athletic hobby skiers. More ambitious skiers can give the longer reds off the 2950 meter high Col des Gentianes, or even one of the (avalanche-safe) routes off Mont Gele (3023m) a courageous shot. If you're the type that prefers to only ski each trail once, we recommend purchasing the 4Vallees lift ticket, with which you'll be able to wander freely between four different ski areas -Verbier (1500m) to La Tzoumaz (1500m), Nendaz (1400m) and Thyon (2100m).
