Great for athletic skiers!
Granted, the Matterhorn (14,692ft/4478m) isn't quite as impressive from the Italian side as it is from the Swiss side of the resort, but that's pretty much the only „negative“ thing we have to say in this category. Breuil-Cervinia has plenty to offer for athletic skiers, who certainly won't have time to get bored exploring the 61 miles (98km) of red trails. Off Plateau Rosa/Testa Grigia you can go from the very top of the mountain at 11,417 feet (3480m) all the way down into the village Valtournenche at 5000 feet (1524m), almost 6500 feet (2000m) uninterrupted on only red trails. And if you're a passionate „carver,“ you'll definitely appreciate the generous width of the more challenging runs at Breuil-Cervinia. And if the powder's good, you'll find plenty great spots to take advantage of the deep snow. If all that's not enough, you can always head over to the Swiss side of the resort. Breuil-Cervinia receives from us the perfect score of 5 out of 5 stars in the „Advanced“ category.
