Extensive ski area with numerous off-piste possibilities!
With five and a half miles (9km) of black runs, the percentage of difficult trails at Breuil-Cervinia is proportionately low, but even expert skiers can spend an unforgettable vacation here. For one thing the countless red runs offer sufficient variety, and for another, thanks to the area's high elevation above the treeline, a generous snowfall creates off-piste possibilities in almost the entire resort. One choice spot is the around the new M chairlift (directly to the right of the Matterhorn on the trail map). For freestylers there's the „Indian Park“ next to run no.6 (below the Theodulpass) with a row of kickers and various obstacles. The only downer for experts is the missing permanent race course. So if Breuil-Cervinia Valtournenche doesn't have everything you're looking for, you can of course switch over to the Swiss side of the ski area, where you'll find another full 103 miles (165km) of slopes.
