Recommended for winter athletes of all types and ability levels

From easy practice lifts and slopes to numerous intermediate runs, Gerlitzen has it all. That means that beginners and more advanced skiers alike will feel right at home there. For families with small children there are also three additional practice areas for the little ones. It’s only the experts who might sense a longing for more variety after a few days on Gerlitzen’s slopes. For freestylers there’s a small terrain park equipped with kickers, rails, tables, a curved box and a straight box, but more experienced tricksters would need it to be slightly larger and more challenging in order to really get their money’s worth. For a quick snack between runs or a cold one at the end of the day, you’ll find quite a few great huts with very reasonable prices on-mountain. And if you’re looking to party into the late night hours or fit a day on the town into your winter vacation, you’ll be happy to find that downtown Villach is a mere 7 kilometers from the resort.

Very well prepared slopes even with little snow due to very early snowmaking (often earlier than in other ski resorts)The quality of the lifts is partly good, but partly also very old.Not very big, rather something for families and less for freeriders.
