The Aspen alpin lifestyle hotel is situated directly next to the valley run no. 21 from Männlichen. We recommend nipping over for a drink on the generous sun deck here before skiing the final meters down to the valley station. Protected from the wind, this terrace offers expansive views of Eiger’s imposing north face. With chill-out beats reverberating from the speakers, there are certainly worse places to enjoy a sunset! On your last run down into the valley in the First ski area, it is definitely worth pausing one last time to visit the “Bus Stop Après Ride Bar” on run no. 22. The bar has been constructed within a repurposed Swiss post bus from 1960, along with an inviting sun deck. Speakers are fitted to the bus, allowing you to enjoy the sundown over the Jungfrau Massif to the relaxing sounds of lounge music.
Party ‘til the morning hours: Hasenstall in Wengen and Plaza Disco in Grindelwald
The ski resorts Grindelwald and Wengen are perhaps not known as bastions of après-ski and partying into the small hours. Nevertheless, both villages offer visitors a couple of options for enjoying a night out. In Wengen, the undisputed no.1 location is the Hasenstall, which boasts “attractive bar girls, top DJs, themed parties, live acts and much more besides”. The Hasenstall is hard to miss in Wengen’s Dorfstrasse. In Grindelwald, the Plaza Disco is particularly popular with younger people. Come here if you want to strut your stuff into the early hours with strobe lights and disco beats.
