Zwergerl Club and exercise slopes

Good news for all beginners, to start with: No matter whether you take the gondola lift to the ski area in Kaltenbach or prefer to get on in Hochfügen - the first thing you will always find are the practice areas of the respective areas. At the top station of the Hochzillertal 1 and Hochzillertal 2 gondola lifts you will find a practice area of the local ski school with magic carpet lifts and obstacle courses for children. For adult beginners to skiing and snowboarding, the drag lifts at Marendalm are very popular for making their first turns in the snow.

In the Hochfügen area, four lifts await with the Lamark 1 - 4 drag lifts, which form a nice practice area for beginners. For inexperienced skiers who are already confident of longer descents, we can recommend slopes no. 11, 12 and 13 from the 2430m high Pfaffenbühel. The easiest way to reach these blue runs is with the 8-seater Jet Gondola, whose bottom station is located directly in Hochfügen, and the Waidoffen chairlift.

So, taken on their own, both parts of the ski area are definitely recommendable for beginners. However, the connection of the two parts is only possible via red and black slopes. The red runs may well be doable for beginners who are already reasonably confident on skis, but absolute beginners should rather decide on one part of the ski area in advance. If you want to go from Hochzillertal to Hochfügen, you can alternatively take the Zillertal Shuttle gondola from the Wedelexpress mountain station down to Hochfügen, but this does not work the other way around.

The downhill runs to Kaltenbach and Aschau are also only suitable for skiers and snowboarders with experience. Especially on the descent to Aschau you should be sure on your skis, because there is only a black ski route here. Beginners who want to go to Kaltenbach should take the gondola.
