Kids Area at the Horbergbahn valley station

The kids area is directly sited at the Horbergbahn valley station. This is the ultimate place for children to exercise their first moves on skis. Admission is reasonably cheap with 2€ per child (as of March 2014).
The ski resort is also facilitated with chairlifts for children. The “Floiten” lift can be found in Ginzling behind the “Naturpark Haus” (nature park house), whereas the “Ramsau” lift sited behind the firm Z-Bau is also located in the valley. Families who enter the ski resort via the Penkenbahn may find both the baby lift and the T-bar lift (Penkuli lift) come handy enabling children to ski without being exposed to any danger. Other suitable lifts are located at the mountain station of the Ahornbahn. Being sited on the west side of Zillertal it is less frequented than Penken mountain.
Families must be aware of the fact, though, that the majority of the Mayrhofen runs are designated intermediate (63 out of 133km) and advanced level ski-trails (29 out of 133km). These slopes are best suitable for children with at least some skiing experience to be able to ski the entire ski area.

The slopes are good for children, but only idiots and non-skiers were on the road, who overestimated themselves. Never in all my time seen so many falls
