6 different freestyle areas in the Vans Penken Park

The Vans Penken Park lies towards the south of the action-packed Penken mountain and with its 6 different zones it belongs to the group of the best terrain parks in the Alps.
The Kids Park and the Medium Area are perfectly suitable for “freestyle greenhorns”, whereas the kickers and rails of the Advanced Area and Pro Area are the places for experts . Sitting in the 4-seater of the terrain park , directly located above the heart of the park, one may watch professional skiers shred.
Stretching up to 520m (570yd) in length the park contains more than 60 different obstacles on a surface encompassing 120,000m² (12ha). If you are the kind of type of skier preferring groomed runs, you will be happy to predominantly find red ski trails on-site (63 out of 133km of ski-runs). To all beginners we recommend the exercise area at the mountain station of Ahorn mountain. Unfortunately, there is no freeride area in Mayrhofen to please all lovers of powder snow. But don't despair, you may find a freeride area in the neighbouring Hochfügen, which is only a few kilometres away.
